Out of Memory by Emmanuel Iduma

He would think, after he has left, that Ella has discredited the law of gravity. She goes up with ease and does not return; she goes up and does not know the way down, her body is unaccustomed to return. She is looking at the curtain, or the window, or the wind, for he can tell that she has undertaken a journey, and she might not return. But why does he think of all this? He is with her, in a room he once entered when it was her sister he knew. The room in its present state does not exist in his memory.

Nice story. Had me hooked till the end but I'm still wondering what happened at the end....did she kill the Head of State? How? What happened to her? Questions, questions...

Hi All,
Thanks for the comments. This is what's good about StoryTime, there's feedback.

@Onlyonezee, ttop is right, Ella watched the president die, she didn't kill him.I tried to play with the idea that Ella was the prostitute who it is alleged slept with Abacha the night he died.

Thanks, again, and sorry I'm just coming around

Congrats Emmanuel. I like your style. Enjoyed the read immensely, particularly the way you intersperse the narrative with the internal dialogue going on in the heads of the protagonists.
Keep it up, bruv. I can see that you'll be someone to watch out for in the not too distant future.
